There official announcements states that they will meet the snowboard binding market head on with a series of patented technology that will put question marks behind the way bindings have been designed up till now. Bataleon Snowboards have taken snowboarding technology to the next level with the introduction of Triple Base Technology and these new switchback bindings are ready to deliver the same impact. The idea of these bindings is to offer the market a more flexible and enhanced rider experience with no restraints on specification decided by a brand. These new Bataleon Snowboarding bindings will be 100% customisable so that maximum performance and functionality can be achieved compared to standard bindings currently available. Bataleon work closely with the dedicated sponsored riders to bring new ideas and concepts to market.
When I first started snowboarding back in 1992 I was about the only person on the Mountain give or take a few people. Since then snowboarding has progressed so much that there are often as many (if not more) snowboarders on the mountain than skiiers. Today they make many different types of snowboards for each style of snowboarding and it is important to pay attention to this when you are buying a snowboard. All mountain snowboards are designed to work anywhere on the slopes. This is the type of snowboard I would recommend starting with as a beginner or if you are someone that wants one board that can do everything. Freestyle snowboards are boards that are designed to work in terrain parks and in half pipes.
Most of the options are available in the mid-range level. Rossignol offers three different types of mens boards: freestyle freeride and all mountain. In the high-end range you will only find options for freeride and freestyle boards. In the mid-level range boards are available in all three different types and in the low-level price range; boards are only available in all mountain and freestyle. Mens boards will cost you around $500 or less. Not bad compared to the other companies out there. In the womens division options are even more limited. There are no options in the high-level price range. Only two options are available in the mid-level price range one each in freestyle and all mountain.
Rossignol snowboards are a leader in the snowboarding industry. They have developed technology that has increased the popularity of their snowboards and the sport of snowboarding. With some progressive shapes and high-end performance standards you will be seeing more from Rossignol snowboards. Right now their options are limited as they seem to be focusing on the more technical aspects of building a great snowboard rather than many different types of less quality snowboards. They do offer a mens line womens line boys line and girls line. In the mens division the boards are basically divided into three different price ranges - low end to high end.
